Terri obtained a B.S. in Computer Science which allowed her to work for several Fortune 500 companies. She later earned a writing certification from The Institute of Children’s Literature. Utilizing her passion for literacy and education, Terri has been able to develop creative learning opportunities for students of all ages, teaching, mentoring, and tutoring thousands of students. As a seasoned writer and author of five published books, Terri founded Writers’ Tablet, LLC in 2011 to help other aspiring authors. Originally from Connecticut, Terri lives in Marietta, Georgia, where she has been an active member of the community for over twenty-three years. Terri is married to Will Whitmire and together they have three young adult children. Terri enjoys reading, yoga, and traveling off the beaten path.
With fourteen years of teaching experience under her belt, Candice Davies has been exceptional as a first-grade teacher in the state of Georgia, earning her Teacher of the Year in 2017. Born and raised in New York City, she graduated from City College of New York with a BA in Communications and an Education Certification from the Kean University Graduate Program. Mrs. Davies is currently pursuing an MA in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University. She is a member of the local leadership team at Rise Up 4 Christ and an active member of North Point Community Church. Some of her extracurricular interests include reading, yoga, and art. Candice and her husband of 18 years, Jerome, have two children and a dog. She joined LIFT as a board member in March of 2018 and has been instrumental in shaping the organization.
As the Vice President of Human Resources & Quality Assurance at Phoenix Senior Living, Yolanda Hunter’s business acumen and strategic planning ensures that any Senior Living Company/Community at her helm has the necessary quality systems in place to ensure the care and services are delivered at its highest level. She is internally motivated, approachable and detailed oriented. Yolanda earned a B.S. in Psychology from the University of New Orleans and a Masters in Counseling at The University of Missouri-Saint Louis. Yolanda hails from New Orleans, Louisiana. She has been married to Chad Hunter for over 17 years. Together, they have four kids.
